It is OK to use medical marijuana while on probation in Colorado

Medical marijuana has been legal in Colorado since 2000. But many people do not know that in 2015, a bill was created that allows medical marijuana patients to use marijuana while on probation. House Bill 15-1267
House Bill 15-1267 (HB 15-1267) became effective on May 8, 2015, and addressed a longstanding conflict between Colorado’s MMJ constitutional protections and probationary restrictions.
Many of our patients at Colorado Comfort Medical LLC benefit from this law and take advantage by keeping their medical marijuana license active to allow them to use marijuana while on probation. Urine analysis tests and other drug tests can be positive for THC, and the medical marijuana patient is still allowed to use marijuana for the time they are on probation.
It is still wise to keep it even after completing probation. Medical marijuana is taxed at a low rate. While recreational marijuana is taxed at 40%!!!!! That would be $40 extra in tax for every $100 spent!
